The Oscillator-type is mainly used for 2 stroke race engines.
This ignition can be used on all engines with a 12 volt battery of at least 3 amperes.

The Transistor-type is mainly used for 4 stroke race engines.

The advantages are:
a very low starting RPM, and huge sparks.
